Just wanted to know, maybe the price is too big? Or maybe its because they are multiple?
Anyways, love you all, thank youuuuu!

Many thanks for such quick answer tho!
Im usually not making any journals, since thought no one ever reads them, so you actually surprised me!
In my case, the ladder went sorta like this: $130 is a bit too much unless its high detail... But 100 is easily in the range of consideration for a shaded, colored commission with a unique style... Though it's not something I can impulse buy, it's going to depend on my finances. So there is still SOME resistance, since I have to think about how it's going to fit into that, and make a commitment. ...It's not a lot of resistance, though.
I like Halloween stuff a lot, so that's actually a motivator there. Especially as I rarely find a Halloween YCH I like, from an artist I like. So if I see one I do, there's a strong bias towards it. The poses and background are kinda boring, but that's actually a good thing with most people. The first one doesn't fit any of my characters, which excludes me... But the second one actually does fit one.
...But that brings me to the next problem: I mostly get NSFW stuff, especially of that particular character, who is canonically a nudist druid alchemist taur sort of thing. So she wouldn't work for this, and if she did, the YCH would need some modifications. So I tag out here. :P
This kind of ladder is why you see so many YCH that are really generic, with a really basic art style and very basic poses... At a price range of around $50 to $130. Super wide audience at the realistic maximum of what someone working gig economy can afford.
Super boring, though. The sad reality is that if you want to draw something interesting, themed, etc, or specialize in some way, YCH is always going to go further into a niche that shrinks your potential customers. Lowering the price *will* help with this, as it can lower the barrier for all the other value determinations that people have, and maybe push them to overlook something small... But if there is a hard issue for someone, they'll still move along.
The result is that YCH are kinda hard for smaller artists to sell, unless they go very basic with their themes, style, limitations, etc.
Late answer from me, but still I wanted to say thank you for your comment!
I didnt even expected so much comments to help me here, so I do appreciate all of them
I was a bit worried that people wouldnt want to say something honest, to not get an overly emotional reaction from the artist ๐
I have started to gravitate towards SFW, and/or auctions/art where i can get inspired to write lore, and its difficult :D
Also personally I'd be less likely to buy a multi-slot ych, would prefer something more personal and exclusive
I'm not a big fan of multi-slot ych's that are expensive
but thats a personal thing
A both of pricing and overall theme
I'm not judging whether the pricing is fair or not, but it could be playing a role of why its not selling
Next is theme, FA hivemind gravitates towards NSFW way more than SFW
Plenty of people will of course spend hundreds for just a headshot from a popular named artist
So at the end of the day it just comes down to your audience
Gravitate towards what they might want to spend their money on with you and that should help flatten things out there
Thank you for the answer!
Look forward to what you bring next
And thanks for the sweet words about the style
Other notes would be the price maybe, sneak it under a hundred and it'll look better even if it's $90.
Even though it's Halloween themed the A slot doesn't fit that mood too well. Being scared of a normal spider doesn't particularly work with the holiday and isn't cute enough to pull that kinda crowd in and isn't dirty enough for the NSFW. The B slot is closer to the holiday I think being kind of witchy but it feels in the middle again like it could be a nervous potion maker unsure of the dosage, wondering if they screwed up or it could be overly confident with an evil grin about what they are making.
Sorry to ramble just what came to mind. Hope that helps
The problem goes both ways, too. Big tech and big finance is trying to block people in the west from using Russian services. I can't use Boosty with my debit card, as my bank seems to be blocking it... And I actually had to use Tor to access one site a Russian artist was using, because it's somehow being region blocked on one side or the other, so I just get a "connection refused" error.
There are limited options for Russian artists, and even the ones that exist sometimes don't work.
They're at a disadvantage, so you need to put in a bit more effort to help them.
And of the second part- Ye I can see now that maybe I didnt create a good idea with a spider (A slot) for such piece. Maybe it would fit better to something more simple and silly like my noodle doodles.
Anyways, its an late answer, but I still wanted to say thank you!
Price isnt even an issue as these arent really -that- expensive, in my opinion.
And thanks for the comment!
