I just noticed that the title and description text for preview images don't use contractions. Like, if a description uses the word "it's", it'll become "it is" on the mouse-over preview. I'd always wondered why I was seeing so many titles written as "(pronoun) is (noun)". I thought it was a trend or something.

Whoever added that "feature" didn't take into account that "'s" is also a possessive suffix.

No, it's because the title system can't support apostrophes. So the admins wrote in some code that makes 's into _is, in an attempt to make things workable for the system.
