Being fired is never easy. I don't know how the US system works, I'm French, but I remember that when I quit my job (I got pressured to quit) I wasn't eligible for unemployment for four months. I'm still unemployed, almost a year later, and the interview I have tomorrow is for a job I am not 100% enthused about but I'm told to "suck it up, it's better than nothing".

From one unemployed to another, I say : get ready. Things are, sadly, going to have to get worse before they get better. I know it's not what you want to hear, but it's going to be a necessity. And also... hang in there. You're not alone. We can get through this, I know we can. Much love hugs and support.

What you said-I'm agreeing wholeheartedly. I have a lot of pessimissm about our future in the USA.
I do hope for the best for Zeric too. I did get fired too, but lucky I got a job right away. Now, I have near-as of this date, 750+ days of being laid off, and it's SO not easy to be hired again.
We do have to keep looking forward, keep clinging to hope, and cheer for others for geting hired. Good luck and expressing love and support to both of you and even me.

First time I was fired was from a call center. I was hired in January; February was our company wide soft skills competition, and I got 8th out of 1100 employees; March I was hired for 'allegations of hate speech,' and there were no written statements or recordings.
Fired because of jealous coworkers. I didn't even have social media nor hung out with anyone outside of the work. I was crushed for being fired for something I never did or say.
