We should be able to upload videos to FA (without the weird ruffle thing that used to be the way of doing it).
Obviously there would be a size/length limit, and most likely some changes would have to be made to the systems to make sure they can still adequately check files (among other things, I’m not a coder so I don’t know lol) but I think a fairly high number of people would vote for this as long as it won’t harm the site as a whole.

That would be really awesome but I think I know why they dont. It would be a enormous cost increase considering the size of various video formats and even extensions are different sizes like mp4 is pretty low but an .avi or .mov is HUGE. But still they'd have to buy quite a few new servers and an absolute TON of drives. But hey who knows, maybe that is something they're planning on, I hope it is because if a place doesn't innovate and move with the times it will fall behind and less and less people will go there as newer more innovative things crop up. But I'm with you, I want video here so bad!

Indeed. I feel that being able to upload videos would help advance the standing of FA and prevent people from turning to places like YouTube/Bluesky/Twitter where you can upload just about anything.
