Inktober halfway done
As the title says, we're past the halfway mark on Inktober.
After last year I'm back having a lot of fun with it. I limited myself to a theme again, which is a perfect excuse to draw anthropomorphic figures.
Kind a easing my surrounding into me drawing furry. I never intended to, but my furry work has been mainly NSFW from the start.
There has been talk about the fandom in my drawing club, but it's mostly very alien to the other participants.
They either think it's somewhat interesting, or it's a sex thing. And looking at my protfolio I can show very little to probe them otherwise haha.
Anyway, Inktober has been a it and, surprisingly, I sold three of my pieces! Which I see as a huge compliment.
I also think it's a good time to switch back to traditional media every now and then. I'm having a blast with pen and ink, but somehow after Inktober I forget about it and mainly switch back to digital. I'm thinking of doing a couple traditional piece to post here, and perhaps do a couple of traditional commissions.
Though shipping them internationally could be a costly affair. I'll have to look into options for that.
Anyway, yesterdays piece is not yet complete. It's drying. The ink of the Pentel Brush Pen doesn't dry very quickly and I don't want smudges. The prompt, ornate, also asked for a little use of gold in the piece, so that's drying too.
There are so many monthly challenges out there there is no reason not to draw. And I always keep getting back to Inktober. Inktober was the spart that got me drawing again. And the feeling of accomplishment after finishing it is always great.
So much for now, I'm back to my pen and ink :)
