It’s been a while since I last typed up a journal, the last time was around 5 months ago when I took on the experimental type commissions. I only have a few things left in my queue, which is unusual when I’m opening for more commissions. (I prefer having an empty queue before opening again tbh..)

Thanks to all the commissions I’ve gotten over the months that funded my lessons and tests, I ended up passing my driving exam a few weeks back and it still feels quite alien to me. But the freedom to do whatever I want feels so good! But now I’d like to keep money flowing in now I don’t have lessons draining my bank.

I will be opening for commissions again tomorrow, since I really need to get myself some new shoes for walking my dog. I seem to go through 1 to 2 pairs of shoes in a year due to walking my dog 3 times a day.. So I think I’ll get a pair that will last me much longer than a year, something waterproof too.. because the winter months are not far away. I’m also saving up to get my dog some dental work done next year, as well as his vaccinations while he’s under. (Because he is feisty as hell and the less trauma the better)

I am also hoping to consider doing pyrography commissions down the line, I just need to get a few more materials for that. Maybe next year? I also really want to try showcasing my pyrography work at conventions whenever I can get to them again.

Health-wise, I’ve been exhausted and stressed with keeping up with everything going on in my life. No matter how many decent hours of sleep I get in the night, my body still struggles and I need to sleep a lot in the day. I was diagnosed with a pre-cancerous condition that I’m getting checked out every few months, as well as going through genetic testing once again since my ailments are still up in the air with certain things. It’s still a mystery, and I was really hoping there would be answers this year, but I think this will be a long period of tests and checkups for a while.
