I wonder if someone can help me ;v;
Is there a setting I can put characters on so they still appear in lists like favorites, designs of the artist, or even just in my toyhouse but no one can access the actual profile?
I saw one character who has the design still visible but can't access the actual profile... I don't know who the owner is sadly, so i can't ask... I was wondering if maybe someone knows how to do that or can help me get the answer to that? I want my characters to be visible so it can show i am the owner of the designs but i dont want people to be able to actually enter the character profile... Is that even a thing that can be done here or no?
I also don't want to just hide all the images and such.... it's a hassle to change it back if i want to make the profiles public again and I don't want to hide my characters to avoid someone claiming they own a design when they don't?? Ownership concerns yknow

You can also set what you want your default settings to be, so you won't need to worry about it when uploading in the future, but alas, it will be a struggle if you're going back and forth
Ty for the information
i've used the search to locate designs by certain designers and it turns out the profile of the character was technically private??? but i was able to view and even favorite the design.
i wish i could provide more insight on this, but i think it may just be the coding being super funky if you mess with the visibility of private characters in an unknown, but specific way.
the only other thing i can think of to hide them but have access as needed is to set your characters to "authorize-only", that way you have the means to generate an access key to a profile and you can see whos used the link.
Also I just opted to hiding all the art for now, which is no fun in some ways but it’s good for now till I wanna make it public again
so there's SOME way that you can kind of have what you're looking for but the code/process is some mangled mystery that i wish i could help you with that, genuinely!
