After some reflection I've removed my discord username from my profile, and replaced it with a link to my personal discord server.

I've been getting hit a bit too often by people who are obviously only interested in getting me to commission them, which wouldn't be too bad in and of itself (I know people gotta advertise their art, especially when they're just starting out) but they take hours or days of trying to chat me up and build a false rapport before actually making the sales pitch. It's getting tiring and makes me suspicious of anyone new contacting me.

If you want to advertise your work or commission availability to me, the Kalo Division Fanclub discord server has a dedicated channel for advertisements. You can join, chat with the people there, and then drop your link/commission info and I'll check it out. Similarly if you genuinely want to chat with me you can reach me via channels in that discord server, not direct messages. Alternatively if you think having a personal 'fanclub' server is a bit narcissistic (it kind of is) I hang out a lot in Bassy's Melon Corner and can be reached through there.
