This reminds me to something slightly unrelated but also a problem I'd imagine; I was at a collectable's store last year with a friend who came to visit. While we were in the back of the place where they keep the NSFW stuff to sell they had several boxes with stuff like prints, posters, wall scrolls, and buttons with art on it. I could not help but notice that a LOT of these things had art of many Artists on here, particularly of canon characters they have done art of. It made me wonder just how many stores, comic shops, collectable shops, and anime shops sell these things without the original creators even being aware...

this aint a new problem. it is as old as art itself and i think we cant get rid off it. but when something like this kickstarter shows up, then we can do something about it.

Scummy. Though the models do look good, at least. Though am not sure if that makes it worse.

Got a notification from Kamino about this. Took a look at the project and.. yeah, the project is very off. Minus the obvious theft of your characters, they at first advertise the things as Miniatures. However in reality they aren't physical and are digital STL (STereoLithography or Standard Triangle Language) files, they basically are giving out the blueprint and not anything physical and 3D printers are quite damn expensive, not to mention the bodies and a few of the clothing of the models themselves feel off and like they were done with that one 3D miniature creator site. To quote Kamino; good thing nobody has pledged.

Hope that project is terminated by the site staff.
