GoFundMe: Health Status Update
Hello, thank you everyone who is donating to my GoFundMe, I thought of making an update for transparency sake.
Here is what have happened so far.
Medicine: I have replenished my usual medicine that I need daily, alongside extra stuff doctors recommended me in case of emergencies such as epinephrine in case of allergy reactions.
Neumologist:
Tests made: Spirometry and inflammatory NObreath (second name may be wrong in english)
Results:
My asthma seems slightly worse than before but I got new indications to deal with it. The NOBreath test was just the edge of what is normal. The spyromethry, while "normal" it seems to have decayed slightly since last year.
Treatment and inhalers should be enough to control it as long I control my other illnesses.
Cardiologist:
Exams made: Holter and Echocardiogram
Results: The Echocardiogram seemed normal when meassured, however, the Holter detected multiple arrhythmias, these could be normal due factors like stress. However pressence of high blood pressure needs to be monitored for an extra week to check if I need extra medication or not.
Alergologist:
Exams made: None yet, just an appointment
Result: My doctor said my IGE is out of control still and it wont stabilize without the special biological medicine Omalizumab (or similar). This medicine is extremely expensive, so expensive that is unviable to buy it. The only way is trying to get into some kind of program in healthcare insitutions, which are a challenge on their own. So far no luck.
Why is so difficult? This medicine can cost 2000 USD per month for life (aprox 24000 per year). The price can vary but is unviable buying it anyways.
Alternatives offered by my doctor:
1- Get into a program in another state of my country, this implies travelling a lot but the travelling/hotel expenses are too high, it could be done but it will be unsustainable in the long run as I need to travel every single month, and moving there would be just as unviable.
2- Try to get into a government healthcare program, which is doubtful since I'm already sick, and as many of you know, ironically if I'm already sick they will keep rejecting my request.
3- Probably the most "affordable" in a short run, is studying a new career. Career includes a healthcare service, which will allow me to get into the program I need to get that medicine. The problem is, if I study a career just for that, I also need to keep it for years, which means I'll have less time for working and not only will earn less money but also spend it on my career, so economically is a struggle too.
As you can see the 3 options have issues but I'm evaluating what to do and investigating.
Once I have more news about new results I'll let you all know.

If you wish to donate I'll highly appreciate it. Although the current goal has been met, this is just for the next 6 months since the gofundme was launched.
Thank you.
