Back, But Slowly
I'm finally here with an update. River and I took some much needed time yesterday to just be offline and with each other. Yesterday morning first thing, we brought Tokito to the vet for cremation. We're looking at about a week or so before receiving his ashes. Today, we both feel well enough to be back online, but we're taking it slow. I plan to return back to commission work tomorrow best I can.
Also, I wanted to give thanks for the overwhelming support we've had during this time. I'd had a bad past few days and Tokito's passing was the straw. It's been incredibly difficult, but I'm starting to pick up the pieces. Thank you all so much for your kind words. Even though I haven't been able to reply to them, I have read each and every message I received and it's all be so wonderful that so many people loved this little stray that didn't have anything in the world beforehand. The love and support you all gave to him made it possible to give him the short time we were able to. Tokito crossed the rainbow bridge with a full belly, a warm and comfortable spot, a clean environment, and more love that he's ever received previously in life. I wish the time we had with him was longer, but we made every day count with him. Thank you all once again. The donations helped us give Tokito what he needed to have a comfortable end of life and the emotional support helped River and I process through the grief.
So I'm back, just taking things slow. Thanks for reading and being apart of Tokito's story~
