1. Break the bird down into 2 Breasts, 2 Wings, and 2 Thigh/Drumstick combos.
2. Lay the pieces out onto a baking sheet.
3. Roast at 800°F for 15 minutes. (I use an outdoor gas grill for this, all four burners up to full)
4. Reduce heat to 350° and continue roasting for 45 minutes.
*Aside from my Candied Yams (Standard recipe from the Betty Crocker Cookbook, but omiting the added salt).
** Long Story. TLDR: one hour before serving, we discovered that the oven had died early on in the 4-hour roasting cycle. Panic Turkey was an on-the-fly solution that I* hoped would be at least edible, but turned out to be so delicious that the turkey haters at the table asked for seconds. (The initial sear seals in the juices.)
