Since it seems to be going around, and keeps getting people, let me just say this here:
If someone you know asks you to test a game or program, seek verification from outside Discord before downloading anything.
Even if they are devs or programmers and actively working on projects.

Unfortunately I fell for such a scam a few years ago, mainly because I was groggy, and because the friends account who was hacked actually was making a game. Definitely being more cautious from then on, and I hope others are too.

Yeah, it's certainly a nasty scam. Especially if it comes from someone it might sound reasonable from.
