Minimalist Modern

Was trying to figure out a way to describe my dislike for the minimalist modern style. And I think I've figured it out.
1. Lack of grounding. MinMod is designed in such a way that everything feels as if its floating and not joined to anything else. This makes it very disorienting for me. I'd wager this happens to others as well, but is something most people would never think about. Its like floating in space.
2. Ridgid uniformity. Everything has hard edges, with few patterns or opportunities for artistic expression. As an artistic person having to spend time in places like this with so little to stimulate my mind is another cause for anxiety. Its such a human thing which is just completely removed.
3. Not lived in. The lack of decor, objects, or even wear make the place feel like somewhere humans don't belong. Even in tribes places like huts would be filled with useful or personal objects. Heck, even nature usually doesn't have that feel of emptiness except for places which are inhospitable.
4. All this gives the place a lack of belonging. It will feel out of place anywhere its built. It has no connection to culture or landscape.
Just trying to understand my own mind. Maybe something like this will be helpful to someone else.
