Consider this a follow-up to my previous journal, because the universe has decided to be mean to me lately for some reason.

A few years ago, I was having a big spending problem, and in order to protect my savings while still having them accessible, my mom came up with the idea of letting my older brother hold them in a savings account under both of our names. Last week, we found out that his bank account had nothing left in it. He had burned through not just my money, but also his own, avoiding paying for his monthly bills. I won't say what he wasted all that money on because it's humiliating, but we unfortunately have no way of recouping the money.

And yesterday, while I was driving on the highway heading home after a dentist visit, my car slipped on the road and crashed into a concrete wall. No one was hurt (though my knee is sore) and my car isn't totaled, but the estimated repair costs are more than the vehicle's value. So I need to sell it and try to get a new car.

So until all this is fixed in some way, I'm taking a pause on commissioning art. Anything I upload will either be something I commissioned prior to all this, or gift art. My friends suggested opening some kind of fundraiser to help me get a new car, but I'm not sure if I should. I'll have to sleep on it.
