If I could be any kind of animal that exists in the real world, I would definitely want to be a bat. I think it would be great to stay up late at night flying around while making high pitched squeaks and using echolocation to catch bugs. For as long as I could remember, bats have been my number one favorite animal, but I'm sure you knew that already. And I must confess, I love listening to the sound of bats to help me go to sleep at night.

I like so many things about them, but if I have to choose one, I guess it would be the squeaking or screeching noises that they make.

Have you read/watched Silverwing? It is a series of books from the viewpoint of silver-haired bats. It was adapted into a cartoon back in 2003. The books are pretty good, I haven't read the prequel Darkwing but the first three books are quite fun. If you've heard of Warrior Cats, it's rather similar.

Now that you mention it, I think I did a book report on one of the Silverwing books back when I was in seventh or eighth grade.
