Good morning, evening and everything in-between.
So a while back I made my first attempt at an "Open Species", codifying the concept of a "Jelly Skelly" or "Gelatin Skeleton". Years later I made a Slime OC, Jam. A slime with a Dragon Skull for a face. Yet despite that... I didn't go all-in and make them a Jelly Skelly. Jam is JUST a slime with a Skull Head, but isn't a Jelly Skelly.
I don't know why I made this decision, but I'm not going back on that.

Always up to you when it comes to lore/details, though I've found that as time goes on I'm personally a little more open about just retconning character details if things make more sense with the lens of hindsight. For better or worse, we're not authors with tomes of published work where the slightest deviation of canon will earn the ire of nerds forever XD
