JUST IN CASE: I want to address the scamming topic.

General
Just because I've seen it going around for a while now, and I'm not immune to having someone trying to impersonate me, I wanted to make a quick clarification on how I handle things when it comes to taking payment and getting info from ya'll for commissions and whatnot.
*I HAVE ONLY EVER USED FA TO EXCHANGE INFORMATION, because I find the notes system to be easier than having to also deal with email. If I do use and email, it's to send finished work to a client, and that's pretty much it. I believe I've literally only ever done this once in the decade+ that I've been doing commissions.
*THISIS THE ONLY FA ACCOUNT THAT I USE. If you get contacted from ANY other account claiming to be me, It's not! I had a few other side accounts in the past, but I would literally deactivate them if possible, so, even if someone is claiming to be form those, ITS NOT ME. I'll make sure to try and share what I can if I'm using something else, but as of writing this, I'm not.
*The only other person who might outright contact you about any kind of payment is my husband,
. This is extremely rare, and he'll only do this for me if I'm really tied up IRL at the moment, but I think you should still be careful to make sure nobody is trying to impersonate him as well. (I just don't trust a scammer to -not- try this, y'know?)*IF someone does manage to scam money out of you in my name, IM NOT LIABLE FOR THAT!!! I'm not the scammer, I don't take credit or liability for anyone else's crappy actions, only my own, haha! I'm saying this because I have seen that some people will try to get THE INNOCENT ARTIST to pay them back money that they had no responsibility for in the first place.
*LAST, BUT NOT LEAST: I WILL NEVER PRIVATELY SOLICT FOR COMMISSIONS! If someone claiming to be me sends you a private message ANYWHERE, and they say they want you to comm them, it's NOT me! I will post a journal, or some kind of 'public' notice of sorts that I'm open for commissions.
I NEVER hold private-auction or invite-only YCHs.
*EDIT:Oh, and speaking of YCHs and the like: If I hold and auction YCH/commision/etc, and the wining bidder backs out, I will contact you on the bid that you made if you're the runner-up. I will not solely privately message you about it, especially from another account (if that wasn't obvious by now). IF my husband messages you about it, because I'm too busy to get to things in a timely manner, PLEASE just make sure that it's not a scammer. I really don't know what else to say at this point, I'm sorry.
Guys, really, you work hard for your money, STAY VIGILANT!!
I'm sorry that this might be long-winded, but I really wanted to put it out there, juuuust in case. I've been doing commissions for probably... oh my gosh-- almost half my life now?!?! And I've always tried to stay as professional and nice as I can. I'm so thankful and blessed that I've never had an issue with a single person over the years, but with all the scamming just getting really prevalent these past couple of years, I feel like I might've been overdue for posting something like this.
Thanks again for each and every one of you beautiful souls that has commissioned me or worked with me in some way since I joined the site here. I hope that I can keep working with you, and giving you a lil somethin' that you can enjoy in your days <3
# I will probably make a journal at some point that lists all of the sites I have an account on, where, even if it's not active, you could probably use it to have some kind of emergency contact with me or something, I dunno...BUT I'LL POST IT HERE FOR SURE IF I DO.

Say everything you need to say. Because after that, you did everything you can. And its now on everyone else to be mindful of who they are talking to.
Have a Happy Holiday
I dunno, I've never had a commissioner get scammed by someone pretending to be me, but that doesn't mean it couldn't happen. For some reason, this kind of stuff really seems to have been problematic in the past few years, so I figure it's probably better to address it now, just in case.
I hope your day has been really nice <3
It's been a lovely day for me and the family <3 And I hope you have a lovely rest of your day too~
