Seventeen years on FurAffinity
General
For the last couple Decembers, I kept forgetting to remind myself that December the 28th is my FurAffinity “anniversary”. Since this isn’t necessarily a “big one” like 15 or 20, I’ll not go too deeply in this journal, but it would still be fun to write at least something.
I remember I joined FA, not because I was necessarily really into furry art, but, because it was smaller and more intimate than DeviantArt, which at the time had grown rather large. My art was welcomed on here very quickly, and it wasn’t long before I was drawing furry art full time.
I still use and will continue to use, for as long as I’m allowed, FurAffinity's original, classic layout, the one I remember from the first day I signed up in 2008. While the future continues to change all around us and transform into something that's more and more frightening and unfamiliar, I’m glad at least FA is still just the way it was, at least for me.
In the last seventeen years, and especially the last five, FA has done really good by me, and I’m deeply grateful it’s still around.
I keep saying “maybe this will be the year I really get back into art.” I really want to, but I’m also still letting the deeper parts of my brain let me know when the time is right. It feels close, and when it happens, I’ll definitely be posting it on here.

FA+

I think next Nov will be 17yrs for me, but yeah, I ended up joining FA for nearly the same reason as you did (originally found some webcomics to read back then, found out FA existed and went from DA to here and the rest is history).
I'm also glad we still get to use the old format, since that to me feels like the oldest shred of the net we used to use back then, compared to today's sites that all use a neutered "modern" format.
But even after all these yrs, I still love the way you draw guys, Corv. You've grown so much over all this time and you're still putting out bangers. I hope 2026 will be a great year for you, dude, art and all!.
Happy 17 years on the furry site!
December 26, 2006.
Well here is to seeing much more art from you in the years to come!!!
I jumped in here about two weeks after you did. Not necessarily to make art, I was just a lurker of a bunch of comics I got deeply invested in (including yours). I can still remember a lot of the names of people and users here on FA that originally brought me into the furry kingdom, some still here while others are long gone.
Take your time, and let your inner self tell you when the time is right to leap back into art. We'll be patiently waiting to see what sort of crazy shenanigans the characters you create will come up with next.
-hugs you-
It’s beautiful to see how much you have grown and changed.
I admire the patience and care you are giving so as to let creativity return in its own time.
I’ll be excited to see what you share.
Donkey hugs!
Oh god.. this year will be my 20th.
