2025 Retrospective and plans for 2026

As of last year, I decided to make a journal with all accomplishments of the year and plans for the next. It's a great way of keeping track of your successes and future goals. Let's go!
Last year (2025) was an extremely busy and good year for me. I'd say it went better than I expected — I was in such a bad mental state that I just wanted to survive to the end of the year; everything else was just a nice bonus. I managed to cover a lot of points from my last year's list, including:
1. I got a stable job in the gaming industry — exactly what I fought for! It's not an easy one, but it covers my basic expenses and gives me a lot of satisfaction!
2. I kept working out religiously for half of the year — good enough, I guess ^^; a new job and a kitten kept me busy for the second part of 2025...
3. I finally got enough courage to find a sword-fighting group in my town, and I’ve trained (with smaller and bigger breaks) for the whole year — and I’m not gonna stop!
4. My mental health has… evolved. From an overwhelming depression at the end of 2024 to finally being free and playing the main character in my own life. Not gonna lie — I do a lot of weird stuff even for my own age, but I finally feel alive, and I can’t wait to see where it goes this year!
5. The most important one — my own universe and artistic path
This year was THE BEST YEAR I can remember. The last time I had so many fresh ideas was probably at the very beginning of my universe, which was… 2013? I expanded the story of #project-darkness, which includes my main cast of Eternal, Will, and Drakon — the last one got so much art and character development this year! The whole Crew with Haldran as the Chief, all side characters and how they play their own part in this project, plus more focus on Hunters/Silver Feathers, including Vespera, Shiro, and two unnamed Silver Feathers. The story isn't fully finished yet, with some plot holes I still have to work on, but man, the progress is noticeable, and I’m so, SO happy!
This year we’ve also got two new projects, under one banner for now: #project-angel. With a big 18-year time skip, a new set of characters: Leira — the daughter of Drakon and Frida; Angel boi; and Sebastian — who later becomes the main protagonist with his own story. It’s the story I’ve been working on heavily for the last two months, focusing mostly on him, his family, and Damien — with different possibilities, less magic, but still a lot of epicness! All these projects keep me going and help me develop the best and most believable characters, and I’m so happy I expanded my world so heavily within such a short amount of time.
Honestly, if next year is at least 50% as fruitful as 2025, I’ll be more than satisfied.
Now, time for new plans! 2026 looks like a tough boss, and it’s always good to prepare well before the fight!
1. Definitely continuing my work on personal art and my universe — more art, more characters, more stories, and more epicness! This year, though, I want to actually write down the main story in the form of a light novel. How it goes — I have no idea. But it’s the main artistic priority of this year!
2. Going back to walking and exercising — this is a tough one, because my job and kitten take so much of my time, leaving me exhausted by midday. I want to walk more, and if time allows, go back to working out and continue my sword-fighting hobby — if I keep all three by the end of the year, it will be fantastic.
3. Learning who I truly am — since I got free of the biggest things that pulled me down, now I can truly explore who I am as a person. Creating new characters is fun, but developing your own — your true self — sounds even more exciting! I don’t set any goals here — this change is happening, and I want to reach a point where I feel happy with myself.
4. Finding more groups I can be a part of — I’ve made great progress last year, and I believe I can expand my interests even further by finding the right people and more inspiration in the world.
It doesn’t look like much, but not every year has to be a tough fight — I’ve already fought hard last year, and now it’s time to take it easy ^^
Do you have any cool New Year’s resolutions? If yes, feel free to share them below!
At the end, I wanted to thank you for going through that long wall of text!

I look forward to seeing more of your character development, and especially excited for more Sebastian and Damien! But all the projects are great!
My goal is to just keep up the momentum I’ve built over the last year and keep exploring my city, going to fun events with my bestie, finding little ways to make life even better, and doing my hobbies!
Mine is mostly to sticking to one thing at a time! X3
But congrats on that!
Also cool about the sparring/sword-fighting group! Take care not to put an eye out, yours or anyone else's! ;D
Really glad to hear your own story-stuff has been progressing to your excitement/satisfaction. I've been trying to get back into my own stuff more as well, with varying results, but I want to say "I'm getting there," even if at a bit of an irregular rate.
Hope things stay good, if not get even better, for you this year, Snow! Best of health to you and I hope you have another positive and productive year!
:)
