Can I go one day without someone telling me who I'm supposed to hate?
Look I get it, you have political views that you think are important, but it doesn't look good when you're literally demanding that I hate the same people you hate. If anything? It makes you look like the bad guy. Regardless of what side you're on. Just sayin'.
Seeing negativity every way I turn is getting really exhausting. Don't tell me "it's justified though, because so and so is evil". Dude that's exactly what I'm talking about. Check that mirror~
How about focus on something within your power to change right now? Pick up a hobby and try something new. Do some exercising. Call up an old friend and tell them you appreciate them. Invest in yourself, invest in others. Be a good person first. A good citizen second. And a good (insert political party here) last.
If we take half the effort we expend arguing with each other, and spend it on positive changes within our immediate control, we might find that the click-bait hysteria on our TV screens isn't as apocalyptic as we thought.
C'mon dude, don't knock it till you try it. I'm rooting for yall~

Nevertheless, some “minorities” in some places (especially given the current extremism) have their lives endangered because of what they are (for example trans people, but not only). When a part (even if small) of the population want to discriminate them (or sometimes arrest/kill them), I can totally understand why there is a strong hatred and motivation to rally others to their hate. So I would say it's not a white and black situation, and we should indeed try our best to chill out, stay away from social networks and media that do clickbait, learn others and accept their opinions (which may also help people to be less extreme in their views), but sometimes it is impossible, especially when you or your friends are at risk (and I have some friends being extremely worried and hateful). Being too passive can also be dangerous. So yeah, tough tough...
It can be easy to get lost in the whole argument and burn daylight out with nothing getting done. There are so many other things to set our time, mind, and energy into besides barking into the void and begging for sweet karma to take somebody down with vengeance.
Like, I fully agree: It would do way better to take all that fuel being thrown towards someone who doesn't even deserve our time, and reinvest that into some self-care and focus on what we could be do to improve our lives.
Quite cut and dry, really. Would you rather give attention to something/someone you don't have control over, or look in the mirror and set your agenda towards goals you can do for yourself?
