A Question About Fonts in my Stories

General
I have a general question about my stories, and I'm curious what folks think. I'd love to hear your input on this.
I recently realized that my font changed several times in Microsoft Word throughout the years. Not only the font, but the font size.
Example 1: My first published story, "Track Star" is written in Calibri, 11pt font. I stuck with this one for a while, even after Microsoft switched from .doc to the .docx format.
Example 2: "Too Spicy for Scritch" Part 1 was written in the same font, but Part 2 switches to Aptos font, which is slightly larger, even at the same 11pt font size. I didn't notice the change at the time, but there's nearly a month between parts which is more than enough time for them to update the "standard" font without me noticing the subtle change.
Example 3: The standard changed again without my noticing. "Vore Dash" was written in Aptos 12pt font, and every story since then has been the same.
The only reason I realized this is because I found it strange that a 3,000 word story is already pushing into six pages, which seems excessive to me.
What are your opinions? Which, of these three examples, is the most aesthetically pleasing? I want to focus on readability, and as a writer who's in their *coughcough*40's, it DOES help me to write at a slightly larger font, but I don't want to do so at the expense of my readers, especially since the way fonts present here in FA's in-browser reader is DRAMATICALLY different from what I see in Microsoft Word, especially because I work at 150% zoom these days for eye comfort on my huge monitors.
Please let me know in the comments! And if you have alternative font suggestions for readability, I am open to input and trying new options.

FA+

Also, I just think it’s cool to put pdfs on an e-reader, so thats another win for pdfs,
Regarding font choice, the difference is really subtle; I think the new font is slightly wider. Serif fonts can be great for reading long bodies of text and are ideal for print. The “feet” are like rulers for the eye balls.
Then theres the number of characters on a single line; I’ve always felt FA journals are just too wide for reading and if it was half the width, it would be easier to read. So my thoughts here are more than just font choice, but also paragraph width.
Food for thought, or perhaps…prey
Well, the open-source projects I've used were all missing something I wanted/needed.
