~Milachu's Journal~ Heya there~
Just wanna do another lil check-in. More updates on:
- the state of my projects & what I plan to work on
- what I’m thinking of working on
- any other updates
- and let any of you all ask open-ended questions you’d like me to answer.
— Projects & Plans —
My main priority right now is working on the dungeon comic for Pathwarden. I've already got the next 8 pages rough-drafted, and 2 of those pages colored, finished, and posted for my higher-tier supporters. I should have this batch of pages done before the end of February.
While working on this comic, in the middle of February, I'll probably sell another YCH which I already have a sketch for. I've had this sketch sitting around for a couple years actually, and I'm proud of how good it looks, so it will feel good to finally sell it.
I've started some of the work on my next animation, but my main focus is on the dungeon comic for now. This also goes for the PMB comic; I haven't looked at it much in a month. I think once I finish this batch of pages, I'll try to settle into a balance of working on both comics and whatever the next animation will be. I won't have time to do much else, but those are the most important things to me right now anyway. I should make a schedule for how to handle these different projects by week. I want a certain amount of time allocated to each project every week or two weeks.
— Ideas —
So I actually finished Mila's new ref sheet, and I think it's the best ref sheet I've ever made. I didn't expect to be randomly inspired to make it, but it happened! And now that I made her a really good ref sheet, I want to make them for my other characters as well. I've already started on Lantha's new ref sheet. For Milo's, I can borrow a lot of stuff from the last one I made for him and just add or change stuff. Buttons' sheet should also be easy, since I have a good idea for how to theme his ref sheet already.
Oh, and I have plans to make ref sheets like these for the parent characters too - Snowball, Lady, and Bo! I have original (non-pokemon) designs for Lady and Bo already made, so I just need to draw it all out in their new ref sheets.
I've had a lot of fun ideas involving Lady with her anthro body. She'll be *very* curvy compared to my usual designs, and I hope she helps me branch out into more anatomical territory.
— General Updates —
So I spent most of January getting my teeth worked on again. I had a lot of cavities from bad oral hygiene. I think most of them developed from when I had braces, since it was harder to clean my teeth with the braces on. I had like 8 cavities filled, got a root canal, got a crown put on a tooth that needed it, and got a cleaning. All that work is done now, and I can just chill! However, once I settle the work needed for long-term residency in Colombia, I plan to get braces again, because my back teeth never got braces put on them, and they're really crooked. I could also probably use a dental implant where I have this really large gap between two of my teeth. If I don't get the implant, my teeth could use that huge gap and just slide out of alignment again.
Other than dental stuff, I've been really good! I've been playing a LOT of Nightreign. I love the randomness and difficulty. For those interested, I've been playing the Deep of Night mode and reached depth 4, and hope to hit depth 5 someday. Aside from that, I'm on the cusp of finally finishing all the mainline pokemon games. I played gens 1-4 when I was younger, and then fell off for several years, came back when gen 9 dropped, and I've been filling in the gaps ever since. I've finished every gen except 7, and I'm sure I'm over halfway through Ultra Moon at this point. After that, I'm gonna finish Explorers of Sky, Legends Arceus, and then the DLC for Violet!
