I got the call recently: my new job awaits. Yesterday was my last day at the place I've been for six and a half years. I'll be saying goodbye to Montana in a few weeks, and I'll be back in Nevada, where I grew up. It's bittersweet to leave. I had so much optimism when I came up here. Over time, it was stripped away. Opportunities dried up, or were taken away. Friends faded away or disappeared. I won't quite be starting over from zero, but it's not far from it. I'll get through it, but it's gonna be rough for a while.

It's time to go home.
