I'm aiming for a higher standard of writing
a week ago
General
In times gone by, I used to write a draft of a chapter then quickly proofread it, then upload it. However, that led to lots of mistakes and (imo) poor writing quality compared to the non-furry stuff I write. I have read a few books about writing since I last posted here. All of them recommend finishing a draft of a story then leaving it on ice for at least six weeks before proofreading. So, I'll be doing that with my next story. That and I'll be proofreading/edition many times instead of just once. Finally, I think I'll write an entire story before uploading it. No more posting chapter one before I have finished the entire thing! :)
On the upside, this should lead to better quality stories. On the downside, it'll be at least a couple of months before I upload my next story.

I wrote my latest story and didn't look back. I took notes as I went along of things that I'd like to change later. When I had finished, THEN I went back and edited everything. It was a different experience and something that I'd recommend.

What were you doing before, out of curiosity? Taking notes sounds useful :)

I'd just edit as I went. It was extremely sporadic. I'd write a little, stop, reread it, and edit it there. It wasn't efficient at all.

Your writing is very good as it is. If you think it will improve it... Go for it! ^^
