The greatest radio freakout I've ever heard.

I know nothing about radio history. All I know are the stations from back home in Washington (and the ones from Vancouver, B.C. that I liked). I'm wholly unfamiliar with radio stations from other states in the US, but this snippet from Birmingham, Alabama grazed my YouTube feed this morning and I was immediately intrigued. I was not disappointed. This happened approximately 8 years before my time, in 1988. It's not so much the host that freaked out, but the management. The director got pissed off that Coyote J. Calhoun, the DJ at the time, went off-format and ended up forcibly removing the guy from the studio while the mic was still hot.
Oh, to have been driving home from a shitty day at work listening to this radio show in the late 80s while this all went down. 😂
