Weekly Update! (2026-02-15) Always Something Happening

Hey peeps!
We’re working for it! I got two big commissions done over the last couple of weeks and we’ve completely caught up to our voteys! We did have to scrap a couple of the more ambitious side things, unfortunately, but overall I think it’s for the better. We now have two commissions left to do that have already been paid for, and then we can focus on getting the comics and projects done.
Fortunately, we’re almost completely caught up on uploads as well, and I have begun adding the released pictures to the website, so we’ll work on uploading that backlog as well.
I’m looking forward to leaning back in on ClaCos and Various Happenings as soon as possible. It’s been a while and things keep getting in the way, but my ultimate goal is to prioritize these going forward as soon as I finally hit square zero.
This week there’s a holiday on Monday (work holiday, anyway) so I’ll be streaming on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thursday I have to go in to get a booster shot, so I’m going to be a little moody, and we’ll see how Friday goes. That’s going to be fun, but nothing for it.
Then next week, I’ll be taking a by-week to prepare some things, get caught up on uploads, answer some of my mountains of PMs (trust me, I know I have a lot of those to answer), and try and relax a bit. I have labwork that needs to get done (nothing major, just hasn’t been done in a while so I need to get that updated) on Saturday, so I’m not looking forward to that. And then there will be visits the following week from Dicy’s family, so I’ll most likely be out of commission for that week as well. We’ll see how much management work I can get done during all that, but... it’s going to kinda suck.
Hopefully once that’s done, I’ll be rested and we’ll be able to push forward with project work and new commission stuff. There’s always something going on, it seems like! I know I need to update the commission spreadsheets, too. I haven’t forgotten, trust me.
But that’s just how it is. We’re rolling out a back-up chat in case Discord becomes untenable and mirroring things on the wiki which we’ll be opening up to select editors in the future.
There’s a lot of reinforcement going on lately and we’re doing our best in order to ensure that Fox Saliant Studios becomes a nice little garden of culture and community for the future.
Anyway, I hope you’re all holding up well. I hope Valentine’s Day was decent, and I hope you’re enjoying the thaw. The last week has been pretty nice, so I’m happy to see it, and things starting to wake up again.
