I almost got scammed

General
A couple of days ago a person came to my asking for commissions, a very normal idea, someting cute even. The account was brand new, but I've received clients like that, so it wasn´t that suspicious at all.
First yellow flag.
When I discussed with them about the price for the commission -because of a couple of questions they were making- I noticed that they weren't paying attention to what I was saying, the examples and prices I was showing them.
Second yellow flag.
Then the person started to push me to send them my paypal.me link, or the email mine was registered. Even when I mentioned in my ToS and in the conversation that I just work through invoices now.
They kept pushing, now offering extra money for "accepting to work with them" and because they were "super excited". More than twice the original price.
Third yellow flag, and a clear red one when they pushed me to change my charge method to receive fast money.
I'm pretty sure that this person tried to send me the payment, to then get the drawing and charge back by reporting me as scam or something. That's something that put me in risk, not only of losing the money this person "was going to send me", but of being stricked/flagged as scam. Something that can also affect my Paypal account. Thankfully I didn't fell for those tricks. But the user is still in discord. I cannot mention their name, but if anyone who sells commissions wants to know them, I can tell you privately.
Take care guys, and let's be careful.

And I mean, I understand that there are real artists looking for job, but still, stalking people isn't the way.
Since they were trying to get your email address, it's likely they were going to claim they paid, then send a fake email from 'Paypal' which will say you've hit some kind of limit. A limit which requires a payment (which they say will be refunded) to raise - and that's the scam. You'll be asked to make some kind of payment through a method you can't cancel (gift cards, etc) and then they'll disappear. They don't care about the art, though people trying to scam a free sketch are also something to be aware of.
And yes, I think there's a easier way to support someone (for real) that is different to get a paypal email by pushing people.
But when a person is trying to push to change a rule that is made to protect both sides, yuga a boundary that I'm not willing to break.
Thanks for the support. And writing this journal is also a way that I thought it could be useful for other people who can be target of this behaviour.
