2026/02/26 Celebrating 100 followers on Blue Sky!

Woo! Yeah! 100!
I feel like I'm over celebrating. Like I should be popping off like this when I reach a real number like 1k. But I don't care. Just trying to visualize 100 people in a room makes me pop off. Thank you to everyone who helped me get this far from around six months ago; when I started uploading content.
Anyways, putting my giddyness aside for a moment, I have a special surprise for several of my Blue Sky followers. I've been asking around for requests to lucky landmark followers and wanted to give them a gift. I generally asked folks if there's a character or OC they've wanted drawn as a… "sketch". I told them I'd make a sketch.
I lied. I wasn't content with just a sketch. I wanted to go big here. To make matters short, I wanted to ask permission to draw them something while being able to surprise them. So I did a cel-shaded drawing for each of them. A bit superfluous. I know, I spent quite some time on this. Despite everything, the only regret that I have is making all the drawings in the same file. It made things a little bit more complex than I expected. Oh well.
I'll soon be uploading these drawings publicly both on Blue Sky and Furaffinity. I'll also write down on this journal who I reached out to, who responded, what they asked for, and some extra yapping. Without further ado:

They… did not get back to me! They were the first person I tried contacting and I haven't heard anything back. I was going to go to the fallback of drawing their profile picture, but after getting the linework done I ended up finding out that they might not be the owner of the character on their profile picture. To make matters worse, I tried looking through their user page and while I found commissions they appear to have done, I couldn't find any characters of theirs. Long story short: I didn't get a response, and I didn't know what I could give. So I'm considering this case lost. They missed the chance unfortunately.

The first person to get back to me. this was a very simple case: They had a character, Mu. I asked to draw them. They said yes, and here we are.

I was given two options. Gouhin or Kled. I suggested Gouhin as I'm familiar with the source, and I figure that the character would suit my art style focus of muscle. I remember one scene in Beastars where Gouhin gives a flex to Legosi to prove a point. So I decided to draw Gouhin from Legosi's point of view.

They asked for Jack from Wild Assault with some extra muscle. I remember this took me a while since I didn't want to go too out of character for this but still give zombiedwolf what they asked for. What I mentally made a compromise is Jack jogging with running gear that alludes to their outfit. Hopefully, Jack has enough muscle to make you happy.

No reply was given. This was a similar case to my first follower, but with less content. No profile picture, nothing on their media tab, no response. I thought about actually sketching a mannequin shaped like the default avatar of Blue Sky, but decided against it.

The lucky 100th follower! They asked for a Greninja, I delivered a Greninja. With some muscle on them. You should know my deal about now.

Not only my first mutual, but they're responsible for my first repost received. I still remember because of them, the notification icon reached double digits for the first time and I got excited. Even though it was purely sketches, I was still happy to get some recognition.

You are the first person to appear in my inbox. I had to do some scrolling to find it. It wasn't art related; I believe I made a comment about Schwartzgeist when they showed a sign of life after years of silence. This might be a bit pedantic, but this also coincided with his transition from one fursona to another. I also wanted to celebrate that.
With ¾ of the people I contacted responding, I'm happy with how this giveaway turned out. Truth be told, I am a bit tired, I put a lot of work into this. I don't regret it. It was also a chance for me to experiment with style, anatomy, perspective, and color. In the future I might end up doing a simple raffle. I celebrated 100 this way as I gained followers slowly enough for me to keep up with numbers and I had few enough followers to make it feel like a little group.
Unfortunately, I'll have to say, that I consider this celebration over. If you didn't respond, you missed your chance. I mostly say this so that I don't get jumpscared later on when I might be busier asking for free art.
Truth be told, I did this also to get out of an art block, and to force myself to contact folks in the fandom. I've been a recluse hermit for too long. It's a bit hard considering that I'm trying to maintain my real life as separate from my online life.
Now, will I celebrate folks like this here in Furaffinity? Unfortunately, I don't think I can. I can't tell the order in which people subscribed so I can't celebrate the same way. I think if I reach 100 watchers I'll try to do a simple raffle.
Anyways, I've been yapping for far too long. I'll be uploading the six drawings I have to Blue Sky first, then I'll upload them to Furaffinity.
Thank you for reading, watching, following. I know I shouldn't get hung up on numbers… But shut up… Let me have this just once.
