I didn't take it out of my bag the entire con except once (and I promptly put it back in) and somehow its missing. <:I Hotel said they'd call me back if they found it.

Edit: The hotel called me today, saying that they had found it. Gonna pick it up tomorrow!

Editedit: whelp because i was swamped with homework most of the week i ended up not being able to go back to the hotel until saturday.

When I got there they gave me a camera that looked nothing like the camera I had described, wasn't the model I told them it was, wasn't even by the same company (my camera was a canon, the one they thought was mine was a sony). For some reason they didn't have any notes laying around about me losing the camera, according to them whenever someone reports that they've lost something they write down the person's name, number, the item lost, etc.

They had two cameras turned in to their lost and found, and the other camera (that had already been taken) sounded suspiciously like mine. The guy is just describing it, and it matches my camera perfectly. Of course they don't just give out lost and found items to anyone who asks (and I know that my camera isn't the only black digital camera in the world), apparently the guy they gave the other camera to was able to prove that it was his somehow.
