... I will not be taking them any more.
This fandomized business-relationship just ain't workin' out.
It would be preferable to keep this gallery 100% hobby, uploading whatever fancies may strike, than it would be to try to adhere it toward earning any sort of living.
So if anyone's asking, the answer is now a giant official no.
Those to whom I still owe work- be patient and I will get it to you.
..This ought to make for a more prolific Skadj in the long run.

Keep this a hobby for your own benefit and it will never cease to be enjoyable :3
The pay-to-work ratio for commissioned art in the furry fandom is way too low...
That's not to say drawing for other people is bad or anything, but I'd much rather feel the desire on my own, rather than be paid for it. :)
I wish you nothing but happiness on your chosen path. =^.^=
Genesis 1:22 - Go forth and proliferate! (And give me a buzz sometime?)
No problem; do what it best for you.
If it's not fun here then it's not worth it.
This forum is geared mainly for hobbiests anyway.
Commission details and communications are just a side benefit available to those who want to use it.
Syrinoth had to do a similar thing.
He found his gallery was filling up with everybody Else's ideas instead of his own and he decided to pull the current gallery down and start over.
For the longest time I thought I wanted artists to post my commissions just as a character advertising tactic but, now, I see the light and I don't care whether or not the artist submits my commissions here. In fact, if the artist does not submit my commission, that means it is unique to my FA page and they have to go there to view it. :)
Now, in addition to regular commissions, I just wish to encourage my favorite artists, not with a commission, but some type a "fund", or something, in which I say: "I like your style, please draw a female dragon how YOU want to draw it". And, BTW, here is some money to help support the effort.
Just my idea anyway.
I wonder what it would be like if this forum was set up so users could actually donate to their favorite artists to help keep them happy and drawing what those users like to see. This could be the true potential of watchers. By drawing what the artist likes; he attracts those who like the same things. Just need to give those watchers the ability to donate with no strings attached.
After you are all caught up; just say: OK, I am going create this type of dragon, would anybody like to help support this effort?
In order for creativity to flow freely; we must allow that creativity to follow it's own path.

The problem is more that the level of expectation generated by commissions will slow me down to a crawl when I ought to be running.
It takes too long, and I get exhausted before the finish line. I'll eventually reach it, but not before exhausting way too much effort. I'm proud of the works completed so far, but the amount of effort needed to continue is simply wearing me down.
You have seen firsthand the effects of this.
...Also, owing artwork to people keeps me from other projects. I don't feel I have the right to go out and play until I've finished my homework.
Well; sometimes you just have to set those big projects aside and try doing a "light" project once in awhile that doesn't require so much effort!
Go ahead; draw a stick figure dragon...

But seriously, you do what ya gotta do :3
