Who or what inspired Danielle and Shard? Do they ever defy your outlines and scripting once you start drawing and lettering?

I'll ask you the same question I asked him. As someone who draws comics you need to both hear and see your characters. Which comes first? Does how they look decide what they do and say, or is it the other way around? Or do they just bubble up from some unknown place as complete people, who start telling you what they will and won't do?
