After a brief study of the artists I've got on my list Favorite artists I have come to the conclusion that your art/drawing style reflects your personality mixed with the kind of music you listen to and how good you are at drawing in sed style depends on how long you've been drawing in that style...

They listen to Music from animes and Video games notice the similarities in their styles

but as you can see their personalities also play a factor and so they only differ in details see what I mean?
(I'm probably not the only one to notice this)
There are also people who like all music but their styles differ from each other. As I said before their personality plays a huge factor especially in these cases, but personality isn't the only thing that factors into this situation there is also the place you've grown up on and your experiences.
