This is how i think of things.. when my life starts sucking i just think and compare what just happened to me to someone in a worse situation.. Then i think well its really not to bad..

Some things in life do really suck i will give you that but that's just how life works sometimes.. And one day you will look back on that horrible moment and think wow that wasn't to bad after all its just how life is and heck you may even one day thank your parents for making that call.. Also as ELWOLFO said if you dont like what your parent are telling you to do sit down talk to them try to fix it, if that dosnot work take it into your own hands show them you know what your doing and that you are capable at making the right calls for yourself this is how you become a individual and how you build parent teen respect and much more..

Respect is the start of them trusting you to make the call on more and more things in your life.. And as more and more respect is built things will get better..
