Oh~ shit... Now I'm a parent
Since 4am today, I have become a surrogate mother/father to my puppy, Pepper; or Pfeffer (I'm trying to teach her German commands since her breed is German). Anyway, My twin and I have responsibilities now that we typically didn't have. In order to help her sleep, I'm going to have to sleep in my parents' bed with Pepper. Thankfully it's virtually the same as mine, but muuuuch bigger. x3
So everyday for the next week, my twin and I have to alternate between Pepper's needs. The list goes (in chronological order):
Feeding
Greenie (type of dog treat that looks like a toothbrush, feels like plastic in your hand and keeps their teeth clean)
Breakfast
Dinner
Potty
Let her out 2x in AM
Let her out 2x in PM
Let her out before bed
Food
Dry food dish filled (we only leave it out so if she gets hungry and we're not there to feed her she has something to nom in)
2 water bowls changed
Extra Chores
Water garden, 8 pots, and box
Yeah, mom is a gardener. So we have our own supply of fresh veggies nearly year round. Hence the watering bit. Lol. Aside from all that, she (Pepper) will get very depressed without mom being here. She honestly thinks that mom is her mom. We told the pet store to call us when they received a female Mini Schnauzer (ʃnautsɐ). And when we got there, she was the most adorable thing there. She was so scared. Whites of her eyes showing as she was huddled in a corner, shaking. She literally was taken from her mom that day and shipped from one of the central states. I think it was Kansas. So we picked her up and set her down in the aisle to see how she would react. She just sat there, squatting on her butt instead of her paws, her eyes still sad looking. On our way home after buying her while mom drove us (mom, me and pepper) home, i lied back in my chair so Pepper could have a better ride, she nestled into my chest and started sleeping. I guess it was the sound of my heart that helped her calm down. It was the most adorable thing... EVER!
Anyway~... sorry for my rantings lol So yeah, if there are any furs in my area, the Northern Essex county, Massachusetts, hit me up ^^
