gullible donated the full amount! He'll be getting some awesome luffings! <3The cable for my laptop adaptor (you know, the thing that goes between the laptop and the magic electrical wall plug) has severed. Badly in one place and to lesser extents in two more. The cable, while valiant in trying, can no longer hold a reliable charge; and thus my laptop is currently on it's last 1 hour, 16 minutes of battery life.
Thus, I need a replacement, namely a "ADVENT ACER LAPTOP AC ADAPTOR POWER SUPPLY 19V - 3.42A" (I actually have an Acer Aspire, but all the details match up anyway), which costs a lean £19.80.
Unfortunately, my current budget is a £2.
My allowance next month is also going nearly entirely towards paying website fees, so the most I'll have then is still far short at £6.
My laptop is not just a device I use for browsing
If you're feeling generous, put some bread in my jar by Paypal-ing shaun.hargreaves@gmail.com, otherwise I might be disappearing for a few days, if not weeks. I might draw something for you people generous enough (I of course cannot guarantee any modicum of quality in this matter).
I can still get a bit of charge out of the cable if I wrap it in sticky tape and hold it in a certain way, but I doubt the cable will last until the end of the week, especially at the rate it's degrading. If this is the case, then au revoir, mon frères, may we meet again some day. </overdramatic>
Had the same issue with the Nintendo DS.
