Ultra-Cutesy Tolerance Test
I realized something this week that I didn't think was possible. In furry, and in anime, I usually tend towards the 'cutesy' side. Sure, I'll sometimes see something serious or graphically violent I really like too, but in general I go for the sickeningly-sweet cavity-enducing stuff.
However, this week I decided where my limit was, at least with anime, and it turns out to be 'Shugo Chara Party' (viewable online at http://www.crunchyroll.com/shugo-chara). I followed the first season of Shugo Chara, and it was exactly the kind of cutesy Magical Girl series I get drawn to sometimes. The second season slowed down a little, and actually got slightly darker, but there was still plenty of cute stuff around. But with the Third season ('Party'), they added in live action cosplayers, and chibi shorts or already very chibi characters. This takes up the first 10-15 minutes of each episode now, and it's so super-cute, even I started feeling excessive cavities form and haven't been able to get past the lead-in parts to see any of the story for this season.
Thank you again Japan. You never fail to amaze me.
