According to the wiki on this guy, even Kubo Tite acknowledged the amounts of theft this guy's doing on his twitter. :/

This is news to me! I didn't even know the guy was in the 'artistic' field (If you can call tracing art!)

Appearently Kubo Tite had the same sentiments, appearently expressing more interest in the fact Nick was an "artist" to begin with, instead of condemning the tracing of the Bleach panels.

I really don't consider him an artist, and I don't believe we ever really know if he is an artist. Once you trace, it doesn't matter who you speak to, or how many new people you show your art to; You are labeled, and it's a very hard label to drop. Everyone makes mistakes, but to let a mistake go this far is unprecedented, and he should be shunned from any contact with the field of art.

I saw that earlier and started laughing my ass off. I hope he gets what he deserves.

He ripped off 90% of it from bleach. 10% is Hellsing and D.Greyman too.

It's sad really. It sounds like it could be a good story. He didn't need to do that. He could have just hired someone to draw the panels for him. Afterall, I'm sure he could have afforded it. :P

I've been working on random story ideas for many, many years now, since I was a kid. Hell, most of em sucked or were random brainfarts, none of them ever really finished, or anywhere near finished... Working on a main storyline now for my character Luvythicus, which has been growing and changing for about ten years now... Aaaaand long before I knew Bleach, I had these skeleton/skull-wearing demons called Hollows. Honestly, seeing how Bleach started in August 2001, it can't even be a rip-off. It was just a coincidence.

This isn't a coincidence, though, this is pure rip-off.

Here I was, desperately trying to make the story good, worrying about even the slightest similarity to Bleach or any other manga, and this f**ker shows up, being able to publish THIS? Out of respect for Tite Kubo, for his great artstyle and amazing work, I'll try and keep my story as different as I possibly can. It's one of the few mangas that I actually love... But... That douchebag (Simmonskid) should really get f**ked up good...

It's impossible to come up with something completely original by now, I've accepted that and hope to thin out any similarities in my own story/stories.. But I'd never go as low as just ripping off the actual art...

Well if this dosn't make a artist feel safe I don't know what does, hell I saw several pics that were done by a DA in that damn rip off and it's sad... really sad.

But the thing is, he can't be touched.

It's like saying someone stole the tire design from one company when they share characteristic but the one said to be copied has small changes... Those small changes allow the tire to be claimed as it's own tire. The same applies for this and it's sick that people can get away with this... No matter what I really doubt he will get sued or anything... I wish he would though but he can play that loop hole and get away Scott free. The most that could be done is he can be discredited for the work and no company will even think about him let alone publish one for him. But I can see this ending badly for everyone else but good for simmons... What the fuck man this sucks.

I think it's sort of funny. The son of a rock musician stealing the work of a man of color and claiming it as his own creation. I'm sure Tite Kubo might've been humbled by this boldly ignorant act if his work wasn't already selling into the millions already. At this point I'm sure that he's just stupified it even happened.

The stuff on his DA page is, like.. a million times not as good as any of this :1 It doesn't even compare.

I don't even like Bleach and I think this is disgusting.

The fact he got so far as to even get published shows how little some publishers care until their own name is at risk.

It seems like more work it me to hunt down the right panels to trace than it would be to draw them myself. I guess it's easier when you can't draw.

That, or his stuff could be so overly clichéd and "inspired" he just knew which panels he had seen that would fit his story as well.

LOL I cant believe he expected to be able to trace shit from two very well known intellectual properties and get away with it! Wonder what his publishers are going to do, now that it's been suspended. Wouldnt be surprised if those responsible for creating Bleach and Hellsing sued.

And then he slathers the name of Kentaro Miura (Berserk), hoping he'd one day reach that kind of potential. Why he failed to trace any of his stuff instead then is beyond my knowledge or understanding.
This is a low stoop, even for him, since a glance over at his DA page shows some potential. Though I'm not really a fan of the "I'm gonna draw dark and bloody and edgy because it's the cool thing to do and makes things mature!" attitude it seems to have either.
It's a personal opinion ofcourse, because I caught myself doing it as well. I'm far more interested in working on my more cartoony story now, which still can retain some maturity by not lampshading violence, if it comes to that.

I have to say I'm amazing at how much time people had to find the exact panels and match them up o.0; As much as I hate straight stealing like that, I gotta say..wow..wish I had that much time on my hands.

Personally I don't think it could be that hard. If it's a case of familiarity, all they had to do is backtrack through the different chapters that could have said panels. A lot of them seem to be coming from the more recent Bleach chapters (not super recent, but not to backtrack into the early beginnings), so that makes it easier as well.
I'm more amazed at the one where they could find a Deviantart image from which he took a pose. Single poses are generally harder to find, if you ask me D:
