I can barely judge this, I've only played a little bit of it so far. And the only experience I have with this kind of game is a little bit of Diablo 2 and the first Torchlight. Also I'm a terrible critic ;D

Diablo 3 was the let down of all let downs, I'm looking forward to picking up torchlight 2 at some point.

I didn't even play D3. Mostly because I only played little of D2 and wasn't entirely sold on it either.
I think you can hardly go wrong on T2 for its small pricetag!

5$ cheaper too if you divy out the 4 pack, so 15$.

Even more important imo is the fact that you can play the single player OFFLINE, unlike Diablo 3 that requires you to be ONLINE to enjoy your single player.

There's still the Steam login requirement, so... Well depends how you bought the game I guess!

well regardless of buying games on steam, single player ones especially, you can go into the games install folder and just click the "Start" button from there and play the game w/o the steam overlay.

I miss torchlight- it's only on my husbro's steam account and not mine. Otherwise I'd probably have over 200 hours on it haha

We're talking two completely different games here :p Comparing a AAA multi-platform FPS vs a PC dungeon crawler doesn't seem fair.

The only thing I'd argue about is that they chose an odd time to release the game: a while after GW2 and right with Borderlands 2, and closely before WoW's new expansion.
Those are 3 big titles!

Odd, I thought the loading screen tooltip ingame said that loot would be individual, and you'd only be able to see the loot YOU can pick up, not the loot that belongs to others.
