Yeah, I can't wait... It will sure clear up some of the clutter on my desk when I'm able to get rid of all the cables, the monitor and the two external hard drives I've had to use because of the feeble 120 gig drive I've got in this Macbook Pro I've been using for my art... Not too much longer though!

Ooooo, bet that's kewl... I'm a sucker for historical turn-based games. I played to poo out of Shogun Total War and Rome Total War. I got Empire Total War and played it too but I wasn't in love with the Steam web interface. Napoleon Total War has the Steam interface too, but I'm hoping it's smoother.

Oh its a computer game, I thought it was a lead board game o.o

Nah, this is a computer-based game... I used to play 25mm lead Napoleonics using the "Empire" rule set and collected/painted most of the Anglo-Dutch army units. I've got enough lead Brits that a similar minded buddy and I fought the Battle of Waterloo with all of the units and leaders on both side represented. Basically took a year to paint up all the troops and, when it was set up, took up an area of ~10000 sq ft. Even then it seemed we were stacked on top of one another...

The Empire rule set is heavily weighted in favor of the French and it seemed every time I got charged by any French cavalry unit no matter how green, my troops would break ranks and run, even if they were in squares. After I spent all that time painting those damn little soldiers to prepare for the battle, I had lost enough of my forces in the first two hours of play that there was no way I was going to win, even with Prussian help. So I packed everything up and called it a day. I've still got 'em, but now I don't have anyone that has enough of an army to play against. Oh yeah, I could do small skirmishes, but what is the fun there? Now, it's all computer games for me!

I'm running a quad extreme and loving it. I'll have to play with my daughters computer, I forget what I7 series it is.

The i7 is the latest-greatest of the Intel processors. It's also known as Nahalem and has all the hyperthreading whistles and bells. One other feature that it has is a power conservation feature that will automatically slow the processor down or speed it up, depending on the application and the CPU usage. Should be interesting... I just got the Napoleon Total War game today and can't wait to play it on that LED backlit screen.
