I think I remember reading a recent Consumer Reports listing the H2 as the least or second-least fuel efficient auto model for sale in the U.S. Clearly the brand was purely conceived as a "status symbol" as other vehicles are even more adequately designed for off-road capabilities.
And hummers are stupid anyway. This infects my face with a righteous smirk!
