10 Years old Pokèmon trainer
Back when I attended Elementary School I was known as a big fat geeky brat. It was the period of the very first appearence of the Pokemon anime- and merchandising, here in Italy the anime came first then the videogames and all the shit that comes from the brand - on italian broadcasters and my teachers were very disappointed by the tv shows. They continued to tell us that the cartoon was very violent and it contained lots of bad messages, such as animal violence, and that it was also very badly drawn - not like the Disney movies and animation series - .
Going back at those days, I asked my english teacher - the boss of the entire school (we were just 68 children in the entire school) - to let me make a lesson about pokèmon to say what we - the children - saw in the show, to let them know that they were wrong. She said I could do that so I started to make researches on the net based on the pokèmon topic: I really wanted to kick her hypocrite ass and defend what I like most as a 10 years old kid. Obviously, my parents didn't know anything about it and never asked me why I was so informed on the tv shows and the origins of it. Well, the day I had to make an oration about it to my teacher and my classmates, the english teacher interrupted me just 10 minutes later I started - she was sitting on (yeah, on) my school desk just pretending to be a 10 years old boy, aww stereotypes - and said my theories were all bullshit, reading an interview of a psychologist written on a magazine (I guess it was "Donna Moderna") .
Obviously, the interview said the Pokèmon brand was very dangerous for us, little children of mother Italy, and that japanese animators were also very lazy drawing it, since it was extremely stylized. Lol, I can't figure out who was the child and who the adult. Oh, this memories come from the pokèmon tv themes I'm listening in loop these days. I was so happy back then, eheh. And my hype for Soul Silver grows bigger and bigger everyday °w°
