Hello! Thanks for mailing. I'll try to answer your questions.

Why am I religious? I am 'religious' because nature testifies that there is a God. And that God is much more powerful and intelligent than I am, I am no match for a being who has the intelligence to design the universe and the power to start it.

Am I religious because I'm scared? I used to be scared, because the the law and order of this universe tells me that God is good. And I know that I am not good, I am a liar, a thief, an adulterer, I have racism and hatred in my heart, and I have never once thanked the Entity that created this universe I live in. I was scared because I knew I should be judged, and I knew that God had the power to pull it off. And the God who made me surely knows what tortures would be most painful to me.

But I am no longer afraid; because the Bible, which has proven itself to be supernatual, tells me that God is a loving God. And He came down as the man Jesus Christ, and took the infinite guilt of my sins upon Himself. And now I have given my life over to Him, and He has promised I will receive eternal life.

God DID do this to me, you're right. And it is so much less than I deserve!! My trials are light compared to what justice would have for me.

And you're right. Only God can 'ruin your life completely' and make you thankful!! My life on this earth is 'ruined', but He has given me eternal life, which is much much better. I'm not delusional- I have been given what is better. I have been given the opportunity to get to KNOW the One who created the stars.



I hope this guy hasn't been embittered towards God because of the evil in the world. Evil in the world is our fault, not God's. It is BECAUSE God is separated from us that we decay and suffer. God has never done any wrong by us, we have all done very wrong by God.
