Wanderlust... She Triumphs Anew:
I just returned from a stay in Los Angeles, during which I slept very little, and for two consecutive days had booze before breakfast. Rarely do so many bad choices go together so pleasantly.
It was my pleasure to become acquainted with, and to disembark upon a conversational frontier alongside a most memorable gryphon. His was a vibrancy of spirit I shall surely seek out in future encounters.
After that I interviewed for an animation job and exercised a personal first: I turned them down.
Yes. The weekend was most educating.

Good to hear you had a good time though :D
Far from distressing, the decision has left me in a positive state of mind- more energy to put toward other projects.
Personally, after a while this is why I gave up working for other people and work for myself now, it's been 3 years and I'm quite happy, and never going back.
But after talking at length with the person that would be my co-worker, the things that they described about the job and company felt WAY too much like the job I just left, for those same reasons. After a long consideration, I felt that it would be better to turn it down, and rather focus on the big picture. The job would've kept me in California, which I did not want. I decided that it was better to start fresh in a new place, then drag it on indefinitely.
Too bad we missed you in LA, though. Let us know when or if you'll be up around these parts. :)
