So, I have a decent connection out here, that I can keep some sort of contacts while I'm out of town -- which I've discovered to be a two week venture (but that means a paid weekend in a hotel, so I won't complain).

Completed a Thursday Prompt. I made it my goal to finish before the trip, and I did. Yay me.

Other than that, things are pretty quiet on the other side of the divide. Saw some bison (no, there are no buffalo in North America -- no matter what the grocery stores try to say on packages of ground meat), lady big horn sheep, deer -- lots of deer, a few red tailed hawks. Very nice drive, considering we had to take it at a snails pace due to altitude.

The hope is to finish my water horse story this week, though, posting may be a while in coming, since I want to send it through my critique group first. I may put the first draft in scraps. I'm undecided.

Well, after a seven hour drive, I'm a little spent.
