... The hell?

What's with all the camwhoring? Did I miss a memo?
ALSO: I finally found a (working) ROM of Metroid 2! I used to subscribe to Nintendo Power when I was a kid, and I remember seeing a guide to it in one of my first issues. It released in me a nameless dread. Seriously, I was deathly afraid of metroids, and the thought of having to fight them throughout the ENTIRE GAME was a terrifying thought.
TURNS OUT I WAS RIGHT! Metroid 2 scares me. Although, actually, I'm doing pretty well. Just got the varia suit, space jump and spazer beam. 23 metroids left. But it frightens me. The rambling music, the dreary greyscale graphics, the inability to see more than 10 feet in front of you, the lack of a map, and the METROIDS. Everywhere, METROIDS!!
So yeah! It's fun, in a "nameless terror" kind of way.

FA+

You could go in it and see the areas ahead of you with no explained reason until you drained your health slowly to zero.
That game is also filled with large, black empty areas with metroids THAT COME OUTTA NOWHERE OHSHIT
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Cause you know it's gonna happen.
You know.
But it still gets you.
And then the fun begins!
I guess I'm of the opinion if folks want to see what I look like, they can come to a convention. :)
some dont post images just to show how they are
they infact are fully camwhoring... in the extreme side..
like.. lately a lot of idiots thinks its "cool" to shot photos of themselves, posing suggestively while wearing horrible thongs-underwears AND take special delicacy for super-closeups of the crotch section...
ENJOY =D
So yeah, post a journal every day.
I miss Gunpei so much. I wish he hadn't made the virtual boy T_T
now i have to say that the evolved final metroid,, i think that mother or whatever (not motherbrain) was pretty fuckin scary.
And then out of nowhere the game goes DUN DUN DAAAAAAAA! and hits you with eleven simultaneous heartattacks and a Zeta metroid flies at you, shooting fireballs while the music is racing!
Man, those were the days.
Also the spider ball kicked ass. Not this Metroid Prime magnetic rail garbage. Climb all over EVERYTHING! And they even had missile tanks hiding on the ceiling!
That and the roar of the T-Rex from Jurassic Park on SNES.
Never want for ROMs again.
I've played Super Metroid, which I enjoyed for the atmospheric effects, even if it didn't scare me. Some of it was creepy, tho. And when you fight that mid-boss and shove him into the lava, and then his skeleton leaps out of the wall at the other end...yeah, that scared me. It still does most times, even though I know it's going to happen.
For a moment, I wondered what the first game that scared me was, thinking it was a while before that happened, but then I remembered how I'd run from the room, perhaps screaming, whenever my dad got to "firey world" in Super Mario Bros 1, for NES. I eventually figured out that it was the music that did it--if we turned the volume down, I could manage to watch. I was also 6 years old at the time. But that music made me freak out, and I'd hide in another room until the level was over.
Oh, I've played Metroid, on an NES emulator...but I keep getting confused for lack of a map, and then I just get stuck and/or bored, so I give up. Plus I keep dying.
