So, as you guys might have guessed, I'm really inconsistant about updating the sites I belong to. This is because I am a combination of lazy and unable to access computer that dazzles minds the world over.
Anyone looking through my gallery right now might notice a total lack of fur art at all. I'm working on it, I promise! I have a piece in mind, but I'm having the hardest time arranging the composition so that it's not boring/cliche/a piece of crud. Should be interesting when it's done. I hope.
In real life news, I've began to sniff around galleries for shows and their willingness to sell my work, and I've gotten (of the three places I've visited) one hopeful reply, one rejection, and one place was closed (who closes on tuesdays? weirdoes. But they're my very best bet, so...yes.) So, I guess that just means that if you live in the Chicago region, it'd be great if you would keep an eye out for me, say hello if you spot me. I'll be gone to Michigan in the fall (yeah, MSU) but for now I'm in good old Naperville still.
Which leads me to my next bit of solicitation (is that the word I really want to use? Probably not, but I've had a long day, and can't really think of a better one): If anyone's interested in commissions and trades, I'd be more than happy to participate. Price of commission depends on the size and labor intensity of the piece as well as the medium, but you're guaranteed three sketches while we work out size and price and everything else (I work primarily in watercolor and acrylic, though I'm not adverse to working in dry media such as charcoal.)
So....yeah....how're you guys?
