Ow, my brain

The reading of fan fiction is always a risky prospect. I typically have to be really desperate for a continuation of a story before I consult the amateurs. I'm talking about serious stories, not porn lemons, which hold a special place in my...heart. <_<
You run into a lot of problems with fan fiction. Three quarters of them revolve around really obvious author surrogate characters who swoop in to fix everything the author didn't like about the story, or taking two characters who never so much as spoke and making them date. But there's another level of madness, and it can be found in bad Temeraire fan fiction. Because not only do you get all the normal trappings of bad fan fiction, you also get the authors butchering the nineteenth century English. Most of them end up sounding like someone ran over a copy of Lord of the Rings with a monster truck.
And dammit, not one of them involves dragon porn, and that's all I'm really looking for anyway :P
PS- Fanfic reading pro-tip! Try to avoid any story where the summary contains any of the following:
1. Blatant spelling errors, especially mistypings of the characters' names.
2. An apology of any kind. If you feel the need to apologize for a new piece of artwork, you need to go back and fix it.
3. A description of the original plot transplanted into a high school. It just...it never works.

I just don't like using other people's characters often >.> But love exploring worlds. I'm weird =D
Have you read the the story I commissioned from

If you can't find proper Fanfiction, maybe that's the time to draw your own, eh? :p
Maybe your drawing WILL inspire exactly what you are looking for.
Though that could attract exactly what you hate, hahaha.
There is totally not enough Temeraire porn, or art in general! I was considering doing some myself, once I get better at drawing, and learn how to draw... anatomy. My "Drawing Dragons" book doesn't cover that
Also, I fully agree with fanfic warnings 1 and 2. But if you actually saw #3 applied to the Temeraire series... I'm scared. :P
