A journal, by me.
I used to camp a lot - backpacking, car camping, whatever. Just not any of that RV park nonsense; that's not real camping!
Anyway, with the summer season starting in "America's Adventure Place" what better to do than camp? (What OTHER to do than camp?) Already went out once this weekend for a little one night trip with
pup1k and 
tahoetaxidinae along Dog Valley Road out near Verdi. Ate some hot dogs for lunch, killed some bugs, let Lilly run around, killed some more bugs. You get the idea.
Even simple car camping like this is so fun. It makes me feel sorry for those people who just pack up their RV and park it on a cement slab with a sewer hookup and power and everything. I don't know why they bother - the only difference is they don't get as many TV channels at the Boomtown RV Resort as at home.
That and camping in the forest is a heckuva lot cheaper! Maybe they just pay the premium for less bugs? But then, they wouldn't get the satisfaction of spraying a bunch of insecticide on the shade tent and watching spots of bug death develop >:3
