Tomorrow is the start of the senior trip. That means that today's the last time I'll use a computer since I don't have a laptop, so, if you have something to tell me, tell me now since I can not reply from tomorrow until May 24th. I hope that everything will be alright when I'll come back.
Thursday, May 13th
We'll meet at the school at 6:00 AM and go as a group to the airport. We'll Depart at 8:30 AM and arrive at Baltimore at 3:55 PM. We'll pick up our vehicles and drive for about two hours to Manassas, Virginia.
Friday, May 14th
We'll head out first thing to Mount Vernon in the morning and Arlington in the afternoon. Quick stop to see Iwo Jima.
Saturday, May 15th
We'll set out first thing in the morning to the heart of Washington. We'll spend the morning at the Holocaust museum as a group and spend the afternoon touring the Smithsonian museums.
Sunday, May 16th
We'll continue our visit in the DC area. We'll spend the morning touring the American History museum as a group. We'll spend te afternoon visiting the monuments.
Monday, May 17th
We'll start out in the morning right in Manassas touring the Bull Run battlefield. We'll then head out to tour the battlefields at the Wilderness, Spotsylvania, Fredericksburg, and Chancellorsville. We'll drive down to Orange, Virginia that evening.
Tuesday, May 18th
We'll start the morning at Monticello, home of Thomas Jefferson. We'll finish the afternoon at Montpelier, Madison's home. Then we will drive to Hagerstown.
Wednesday, May 19th
We'll get up and head off for nearby Sharpsburg. We'll spend the day touring the Antietam battlefield. We'll drive to Gettysburg, Pennsylvania that evening.
Thursday, May 20th
We'll head right out to the Gettysburg battlefield and spend the day there, starting at the visitor center museum.
Friday, May 21st
We'll finish the tour of the Gettysburg battlefield and the cemetery. We will then head out towards Philadelphia.
Saturday, May 22nd
We'll start the day at Valley Forge. We will visit Independence Hall and then finish the day at Washington's Crossing of the Delaware. We will drive to Baltimore for the night.
Sunday, May 23rd
We'll get up painfully early, take the light rail to the airport to catch 6:48 AM train to New York. We'll arrve at Penn Station at 9:41 AM and do some sightseeing around Manhattan through the day. We'll go the a matinee of the Broadway show "West Side Story" (3:00 PM). We'll eat somewhere and sightsee or shop for a little bit after the show. We'll take the 9:05 PM train back to Baltimore, arriving at 11:55 PM.
Monday, May 24th
We'll sleep in a bit before heading off to the airport. We'll depart at 1:55 PM and arrive at 3:55 PM.
